ILOILO CITY, Dec. 15 -- Various police units in Western Visayas on Monday received vehicles, firearms and information technology (IT) equipment in a turnover ceremony at the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) regional headquarters in Iloilo City.

The assets included 41 personnel carriers, 15 light motorcycles, 150 assault rifles with complete accessories, and 127 information technology units consisting of 118 desktop computers and nine laptop computers.

PRO-6 director Brig. Gen. Josefino Ligan said the new assets will improve the delivery of police services and strengthen the capability of police units to protect communities across Western Visayas.
