Manila, July 3 -- Iligan City is partnering with a regional food and agribusiness company to launch a PHP1.5-million post-harvest facility in its hinterland communities.

In a statement Thursday, Iligan City Mayor Frederick Siao announced that the partnership with Aboitiz Foods for Project Silk Iligan Post-Harvest Support aims to bolster the local agriculture industry and promote food security.

"This project may start small, but with success and continued support, it has the potential to grow into something transformative for our farmers," he said.
