Manila, April 10 -- The local government here has intensified its campaign against dengue following the declaration of an outbreak.
On Thursday, officials and health workers in Barangay Tabid conducted search-and-destroy operations in communities identified as potential breeding grounds for dengue-carrying mosquitoes.
This intensified action in the city's barangays followed City Council Resolution 142-2025, which urged residents and officials to take proactive and aggressive measures in dengue prevention.
Mayor Henry Oaminal Jr. said the city has recorded seven deaths due to dengue, the latest being a 14-year-old girl who died on April 3.
