Manila, June 12 -- Police in Central Luzon have seized PHP131.4 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested over 4,000 suspects in five months, according to the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3).
In a statement Wednesday night, PRO-3 said the seizure and arrests were the results of 2,706 anti-drug operations carried out from Jan. 10 to June 8 across the region.
The confiscated illegal narcotics included 19,032.93 grams of shabu; 15,409.96 grams of marijuana; and 151.59 grams of kush, the PRO-3 said.
"These figures represent more than just successful enforcement - they reflect the unwavering commitment and sacrifice of our personnel in shielding communities from the dangers of illegal drugs," PRO-3 chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said.
