Manila, Sept. 17 -- The annual Traslacion procession honoring the Divino Rostro and Our Lady of Penafrancia attracted more than 800,000 Catholic devotees and pilgrims in Naga City.
Lt. Col. Chester Pomar, chief of the Naga City Police Community Affairs and Development Unit, said the event went smoothly.
"The Naga City Police Office, along with other police units from our regional headquarters, was equipped with task group security and crowd control measures to ensure safety and security," he said in an interview.
"We also had traffic management and personnel known as 'boyadores' in place."
Pomar said drone operators assisted in monitoring the situation and potential incidents.
