Manila, May 1 -- Over 70 job applicants were able to find employment after participating in the 123rd Labor Day celebration job fair held at the Robinsons Place Ilocos on Thursday.

Ailyn Joy Ambrocio, 17, a Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiary from Barangay Paguludan-Salindeg, Currimao, Ilocos Norte, was among the 73 hired -on-the-spot as of 4 p.m.during the whole-day event joined by 43 local employers with 1,719 vacancies.

"It's my first time to apply for a job (food service crew) and I am so happy that I was hired on the spot,", she told the Philippine News Agency.
