MANILA, Nov. 25 -- Over 6,000 persons are stranded in different ports nationwide due to the effects of Tropical Depression (TD) Verbena.

In a radio interview over Radyo Pilipinas on Tuesday, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) spokesperson, Capt. Noemie Cayabyab, said the largest number of stranded passengers is currently located in the Southern Tagalog Region, particularly in Batangas Port.

He assured that these passengers will be provided with the necessities through the help of local government units (LGU), the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), and shipping companies.
