Manila, Jan. 16 -- The number of passengers stranded in several ports throughout the country has increased to over 6,000 due to the continued inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm Ada.

In its maritime safety advisory on Friday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported a total of 6,064 stranded passengers, 37 vessels, and 2,352 rolling cargoes stuck in ports in Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Bicol, and Northeastern Mindanao.

In Central Visayas, there are 178 passengers, 96 rolling cargoes, and 12 vessels stranded in the ports of Daanbantayan, Carmen, Polambato, and Hagnaya.

In Eastern Visayas, 1,975 passengers, 584 rolling cargoes, and five ships were stranded in the ports of San Juan, Saint Bernard, Maasin, Benit, Padre Burgo...
