Laoag City, Jan. 8 -- The Ilocos Norte provincial government has started distributing cash assistance to village workers in recognition of their contributions to community development.
On Wednesday, a total of 2,380 village workers from Bacarra and Vintar towns received PHP4,000 each in cash assistance from the Ilocos Norte provincial government, marking the first batch of beneficiaries for this year.
The distribution, held at the covered courts of both towns, was led by Governor Cecilia Araneta-Marcos, who thanked the village frontliners for their dedication and sacrifices in serving their communities.
