Manila, April 2 -- An 81-day anti-drug crackdown across Central Luzon has resulted in the arrest of over 2,000 individuals and seizure of PHP77.5 million worth of narcotics, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) said on Wednesday.

In a news release, PRO-3 said it carried out 1,494 operations from Jan. 10 to March 31 that led to the arrest of 2,310 individuals, including 99 high-value targets.

"These efforts dealt a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in the region," PRO-3 chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said.

Seized during the operations were 11.11 kg. of shabu, 14.85 kg. of marijuana and 151.59 grams of kush, all valued at approximately PHP77.54 million
