Manila, June 12 -- Over a thousand job vacancies were offered by 22 participating employers in the Kalayaan Day Job Fair in time for the celebration of the 127th Philippine Independence Day here on Thursday.

Olivia Obrero, assistant regional director of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), said in a media interview on the sidelines of the event held at the SM City Baguio that the agency organized the event to celebrate the country's independence by bringing opportunities for economic freedom to the people.
