Manila, May 23 -- The Office for Transportation Security (OTS) wants its personnel to undergo customer service training in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT), in order for them to deal better with passengers.
"The objective of the training is for us to provide a pleasant overall passenger experience in security screening checkpoints," OTS spokesperson Kim Marquez told the Philippine News Agency in an interview on Friday.
She said the OTS wants to clear some people's notion that they need to be nervous or fear undergoing security checks.
"We balance passenger convenience without sacrificing their security," Marquez said.
