Manila, April 16 -- Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Gen. Debold Sinas, on Friday named Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Olay as the new spokesperson of the police force and head of its Public Information Office.
Olay, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1990, replaces Brig. Gen. Ildebrandi Usana who will retire from the service upon turning 56 on April 20.
Before his present designation, he was erstwhile PNP deputy director for operations and National Capital Region Police Office deputy director for administration.
He also briefly served as director of the PNP Health Service and deputy director for comptrollership in 2020.
Olay led the Cagayan Police Provincial Office as its director from 2014 to 2016.
