OCD belies arrival of foreign military equipment
MANILA, April 2 -- The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Tuesday belied a video quoting its chief, who was wrongly identified as a Marine general, and announcing that military equipment from the United States and France had arrived in the country for use in this year's "Balikatan" exercises.
"The OCD learned that a video was published online, reporting the 'arrival of military equipment from the United States and France' in the Philippines. Stated in the video was misinformation/disinformation involving the agency and its Civil Defense Administrator, Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno," it stressed in a released statement.
