Manila, Jan. 29 -- The Sangguniang Panlungsod (City Council) here is working on an endorsement for the National Water Resources Board (NWRB) to act swiftly in granting the requested water allocation of the Agsirab Water Resource Corporation.

Agsirab is requesting 600 liters per second (LPS), which should not be deducted from the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) allocation.

"It will also be for the benefit of the city and province. You know we have a problem in the city and some municipalities in our water supply. This could be one of the answers should the National Water Resources Board grant the request," said Councilor Romel Duron in an interview on Wednesday.
