Manila, July 2 -- The National Privacy Commission (NPC) has received an 'unmodified opinion' for the fourth straight year from the Commission on Audit (COA).

In a statement on Wednesday, the NPC said the unmodified opinion, also called "unqualified opinion," is issued when a COA auditor concludes that financial statements are "prepared, in all material respects, by the applicable financial reporting framework."

"This marks the fourth consecutive year that the NPC has received this opinion, reflecting our ongoing commitment to accountability, transparency, and sound financial management in fulfilling our mandate to uphold every Filipino's right to data privacy," it said.
