Manila, May 7 -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Wednesday announced that the retrofitting and strengthening works at Manuel Roxas Jr. flyover in Manila is set to begin on Friday.
In a social media post, the DPWH-National Capital Region (NCR) said the North Manila District Engineering Office will begin repairs at selected expansion joints on the flyover's northbound portions starting 10 p.m. on May 9.
To ensure safety and progress, partial lane closures will be implemented in segments, with each segment covering two consecutive expansion joints per half-lane, the DPWH said.
The repairs will last seven days per segment, it added.
