MANILA, March 26 -- The weather bureau said no tropical cyclone is expected throughout the Holy Week but easterlies will bring rains over parts of the archipelago on Tuesday.

"We do not see any weather disturbance entering the country until the end of Holy Week," Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

PAGASA forecast scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, and Quezon.

Moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides.

Estareja, meanwhile, advised the public to bring an umbrella, as rain showers are likely due to the easterlies.
