Manila, June 24 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday said there is no time pressure in deciding on the case of Duterte Youth party-list, whose registration has been cancelled by its Second Division.

In an interview, Comelec Chairperson George Garcia explained that since the organization has not been proclaimed yet or taken its oath, the case is still under the poll body's jurisdiction.

"There is no proclamation yet, no oath-taking and assumption to office. That is why the Comelec will retain jurisdiction in this case," Garcia said.
