SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Nov. 25 -- The provincial disaster risk reduction and management office (PDRRMO) has not monitored rain-induced landslides in Antique amid the heavy rainfall brought by Tropical Depression Verbena.

PDRRMO Operations chief Melquiades Legaspi, in an interview on Tuesday, said that they have been closely monitoring the situation in the province since Monday. So far, all major road networks from Antique to Iloilo and to Aklan have remained passable.

"There was no landslide monitored in the province. No families were preemptively evacuated," he said.

They also coordinated with their municipal counterparts for the monitoring of major rivers like the Sibalom River. So far, there has been no reported overflow.
