MANILA, Nov. 21 -- No Filipino was among the reported fatalities in the powerful magnitude 5.7 earthquake that killed three in Bangladesh, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Friday.

The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka is monitoring the impacts of the tremor that occurred on Nov. 21, with the epicenter traced 7 kilometers from Ghorashal, Narsingdi District, Dhaka Division.

"As of this time, the Embassy has not received any reports of Filipinos harmed or affected by the earthquake," the DFA said.

Based on the DFA data, there are at least 785 Filipinos in Bangladesh, around 200 to 300 of whom are living in Dhaka.
