MANILA, Nov. 20 -- The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) lifted by 1 p.m. the yellow alert status issued for the Visayas Grid for 5-7 p.m. Thursday.

This, after the available capacity improved to 3,044 megawatts (MW) amidst the increase in peak demand to 2,325MW.

Earlier, NGCP issued the yellow alert, raised when the margin between available capacity and the expected peak demand thins out, after noting that available capacity in the grid is around 2,500 megawatts (MW) while peak demand is projected to be around 2,301MW.
