Manila, July 11 -- The ongoing construction of a water impounding system, or water interceptor, along the right side of McArthur Highway in Barangay Dakila, is expected to address the worsening water crisis in Malolos City.
Malolos City Mayor Christian D. Natividad said Friday that the 3-km.-long project along McArthur Highway was initiated by former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bulacan 1st District Engineer Henry Alcantara and is being continued by the new District Engineer Brice Ericson Hernandez.
"Mayor Natividad and I thought of that project as a response to the water crisis that Malolenyos are currently experiencing," Alcantara said in a text message to this reporter.
