Manila, Feb. 13 -- Malacanang has called on the newly-appointed government officials to stick to their respective mandates and ensure delivering meaningful results for the Filipino people.

Executive Secretary Ralph Recto made the call as he administered the oath of office to 39 new presidential appointees in various departments on Thursday at Malacanan Palace in Manila.

The Office of the Executive Secretary (OES) on Thursday shared photos of the mass oath-taking.

In his message, Recto reminded the officials that public office is a sacred responsibility, not a privilege.

He called on them to uphold integrity in making decisions and actions, telling them that their performance will be assessed based on direct results.
