Manila, April 10 -- The Negros Electric and Power Corp. has assured the Commission on Elections (Comelec) of reliable power supply in its franchise area for the May 12 national and local elections.
"We are fully prepared to ensure a reliable power supply throughout the entire election period. This is our way of contributing to a secure and credible electoral process," Negros Power president and chief executive officer Roel Castro said in a statement on Thursday.
The power company gave the assurance after Castro signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Negros Occidental Provincial Election Supervisor Ian Lee Ananoria on April 7 to "ensure a stable and uninterrupted power supply for the upcoming 2025 National and Local Elections" in th...
