Manila, March 26 -- The Negros Occidental provincial government is showcasing the "Sugar Cultural Landscape of Negros" in the ongoing 29th Panaad sa Negros Festival, putting a spotlight on its bid for inclusion in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage List.

Running until March 30, the exhibit at the Balay Kalamay or the Provincial Tourism Pavilion in the Panaad Park and Stadium here features "the rich heritage of the sugar industry, which drove the industrialization of sugar production in the late 18th century."
