BACOLOD CITY, Dec. 18 -- The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) has urged Negrenses to secure their homes and stay alert in crowded places during the holidays.

In a statement on Thursday, PRO-NIR Regional Director Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay said the importance of public cooperation for safe and peaceful celebrations.

"We call on everyone to stay alert, responsible, and cooperative. Public safety is a shared responsibility, and with the active participation of our communities, we can ensure a peaceful, orderly, and joyful Christmas and New Year for all Negrenses," he added.
