Manila, Oct. 27 -- Police in Negros Oriental will be fully deployed for the upcoming long weekend to secure the observance of All Saints' and All Souls' Days (Undas), an official said Monday.

Lt. Stephen Polinar, spokesperson of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOrPPO), told the Philippine News Agency that around 1,200 police personnel from different police stations will be on duty for Oplan Ligtas Undas. The maximum deployment of uniformed police officers will cover cemeteries, churches, passenger terminals and other places of convergence.

Polinar said police personnel are taking a short break following the recently concluded Buglasan Festival events before their weekend shifts.
