DUMAGUETE CIT, Oct. 13 -- Several local government units (LGUs) in Negros Oriental have suspended classes on Monday following a magnitude 5.8 aftershock that rocked Bogo City, Cebu, and was felt in the province.
Taking to online platforms to make their announcements, the LGUs that declared class suspensions were Sibulan, Tanjay City, Manjuyod, Pamplona, and Bindoy.
The Negros Oriental High School, St. Paul University, and Dumaguete Agape Chinese Christian Academy (DACCA) in this provincial capital also cancelled classes.
They cited the need for inspection to determine the structural integrity of buildings and classrooms following the series of earthquakes that affected Negros Oriental.
