Manila, Sept. 2 -- The municipality of Hinigaran in Negros Occidental is showcasing its best homegrown products in the newly opened One Town, One Product (OTOP) store, the first local government unit or LGU-led hub in the province.
Launched in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Monday, the OTOP hub also houses the Negosyo Center and a training center for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the southern Negros town.
DTI-Negros Occidental Director Lynna Joy Cardinal, in an interview on Tuesday, said that the establishment of OTOP stores is a core part of the commitment of the government to boost local livelihoods and build a stronger and more resilient economy.
