BAGUIO CITY, Dec. 19 -- A total of 8,811 employees of the Department of Education (DepEd) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) have been promoted to higher ranks following the reclassification of positions across the department.

Based on DepEd-CAR data, 93 teachers were promoted from Teacher I to Teacher II; 555 from Teacher II to Teacher III; 764 from Teacher III to Teacher IV; 965 from Teacher IV to Teacher V; 5,971 from Teacher V to Teacher VI; and 78 from Teacher VI to Teacher VII.

Promotions also covered master teachers and school principals, many of whom advanced by one rank.
