Manila, Nov. 4 -- Eight electric cooperatives (ECs) in the Visayas declared loss of power Tuesday morning due to Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi), but the National Electrification Administraition (NEA) said critical institutions such as hospitals will be provided fuel assistance for their generators.
NEA, in a press release, said the NEA-Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (NEA-DRRMD) identified the ECs that declared total power interruption as the Bantayan Electric Cooperative (BANELCO), Biliran Electric Cooperative, Inc.
