Manila, Nov. 6 -- The 52 reported deaths attributed to the onslaught of Typhoon Tino (international name Kalmaegi) are undergoing validation, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Wednesday.

In its latest situational report, the agency said 50 of the reported fatalities are from Region 7 (Central Visayas) and two in Region 8 (Eastern Visayas). The number is more than double the earlier reported 26 deaths.

The number of injured persons, still undergoing confirmation, are placed at 10 while those missing were estimated at 13.
