Manila, Oct. 7 -- Damage to agriculture due to tropical cyclone Paolo has reached over PHP105 million, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Tuesday.
In its latest situational report, the NDRRMC said PHP105,389,280 agricultural losses were all at the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and affected 3,888 farmers and fisherfolk.
Affected crop area was estimated at 4,017.73 hectares, of which 141.65 hectares were classified as totally damaged or with no chance of recovery, and 3,876.04 hectares classified as partially damaged or with chance of recovery.
Production loss in terms of volume was estimated at 7,782.78 metric tons, according to the NDRRMC.
