Manila, March 7 -- National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin on Friday said over PHP267 million worth of various suspected illegal drugs were confiscated in his first 100 days in office.

In a statement, Aberin said the NCRPO's anti-narcotics teams also arrested 4,028 suspects in 2,729 anti-drug operations from Nov. 23, 2024 to March 2, 2025.

He said charges were filed for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

During the same period, the NCRPO also conducted 3,126 operations against illegal gambling, resulting in 7,695 arrests and confiscation of bets and gambling paraphernalia worth PHP1.88 million.
