Manila, Jan. 6 -- The Department of Health-Metro Manila Center for Health Development (DOH-MMCHD) has placed the National Capital Region (NCR) under a Code White Alert from Jan. 7 to 10 to ensure full health preparedness for the Traslacion or the Feast of the Jesus Nazareno on Jan. 9.

In a statement on Tuesday, the DOH-MMCHD said the alert status aims to ensure the availability of adequate health personnel, medical equipment, and facilities to promptly respond to possible health-related incidents during the annual religious gathering, which draws millions of devotees.
