Manila, March 28 -- The Police Regional Office-10 (PRO-10) reported a 10.12-percent reduction in focus crimes across Northern Mindanao during the first quarter of 2025, according to comparative crime statistics released Friday.
The data shows a drop from 336 incidents between Nov. 3, 2024 and Jan. 11, 2025 to 302 cases from Jan. 12 to March 22, 2025.
Violent crimes saw particular improvement, with homicides decreasing by 23.81 percent and physical injury cases falling 29.31 percent.
Sexual violence incidents also declined by 13.24 percent, while property crimes, including theft, robbery and carnapping, showed measurable reductions.
