Manila, May 30 -- Local government units (LGUs) across the Northern Mindanao Region have launched proactive information campaigns and implemented various measures to prevent the spread of mpox (monkeypox) within their communities.

As of Friday, the Department of Health (DOH) said there is no mpox case in the region.

Still, the City Health Office (CHO) here and the Family Health Advocacy Home Partners included comprehensive information dissemination about mpox and prevention measures in their community outreach activities.

The CHO also issued an internal memorandum mandating the wearing of face masks and compliance with health protocols within city government establishments, particularly in public health facilities.
