Manila, Sept. 11 -- The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) said Thursday it has classified 10,278 materials in August.
Of these, 9,326 were television programs, 712 were TV plugs, 84 were publicity materials, 111 were movie trailers, and 45 were local and foreign films.
"The MTRCB remains steadfast in its mission to uphold responsible and age-appropriate rating, while supporting the growth of the creative industry," MTRCB chairperson Lala Sotto said in a statement.
The MTRCB rated and classified 125,369 materials from January to August.
The review ensures that materials submitted to the board meet the age-appropriate rating and classification standards, the agency said.
