Manila, March 7 -- The Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) is offering free rides to female passengers during certain hours on Saturday in celebration of Women's Day.

In a Facebook post on Friday, the MRT 3 said the free rides will be available to female passengers from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the said date.

MRT-3 General Manager Oscar Bongon said the free rides are meant to recognize and thank women for their role in society.
