Manila, Dec. 11 -- The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) has improved lighting and added more security in all its 13 stations as part of government efforts to intensify the safety and security of commuters.

In a statement on Thursday, acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez said enhanced lighting systems in MRT-3 stations would be paired with additional security personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) during the holiday season.
