Manila, April 3 -- Filipino veterans will enjoy free rides on the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) and Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) from Saturday (April 5) until Friday next week (April 11).

In a statement on Thursday, MRT-3 General Manager Michael Capati said the free rides will be provided in celebration of the 83rd Day of Valor and the Philippine Veterans' Week.

"Kinilala ng MRT-3 ang dakilang sakripisyo at kontribusyon ng mga beterano ng Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig sa ating bansa (The MRT-3 recognizes the sacrifice and contributions of veterans during World War II in our country)," Capati said.

"Gaya noong mga nakaraang taon, nais muli nating pagpugayan at pasalamatan ang ating mga beterano sa darating na Philippine Veteran...
