Manila, Jan. 12 -- The local government unit (LGU) of Piddig has reminded the public that Mount Lammin remains closed to visitors as a precaution against grass fires.

In a public advisory posted on social media on Monday, Piddig Mayor Georgina Guillen said the temporary closure of Mount Lammin is still in effect as a preventive measure against possible grass fires that could cause damage to the area.

The restriction, which began on Jan. 13, 2025 has not yet been lifted.

Located in Barangays Estancia and Dupitac, Mount Lammin has drawn increasing numbers of young adventurers due to its cool climate and improved access road leading to a large coffee plantation, a national convergence project in the Ilocos Region.
