Manila, Dec. 19 -- The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has turned over 50 modular shelter units (MSUs) to the Mandaue City government to provide safer temporary housing for families displaced by Super Typhoon Uwan (international name Fung-wong)
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, in a news release on Friday, said the deployment of MSUs forms part of the establishment of the Mandaue City Bayanihan Village, in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive to ensure dignified and secure temporary shelters for affected families.
