Manila, Jan. 30 -- Parts of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) near West and North Avenue in Quezon City will be temporarily closed to traffic beginning Feb. 1, as part of construction works for the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7).

In a press conference at the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) headquarters in Pasig City on Friday, MMDA Chair Romando "Don" Artes said traffic enforcers from MMDA and the Quezon City government, as well as traffic marshals from the project contractor, will be deployed to manage traffic in the affected areas.
