Manila, May 13 -- The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) collected 6.1 tons of garbage throughout the National Capital Region (NCR) on Monday, the first day of election cleanup.
In a report on Tuesday, the MMDA said election waste was collected by its Metro Parkway Clearing Group (MPCG) - Special Ornamental Plants Development Management Unit from 11 cities.
The team collected the largest amount of waste in Malabon with 1.48 tons, followed by Manila with 0.97 tons, and Paranaque City with 0.72 tons.
The report showed there was no garbage collection in the cities of Las Pinas, Makati, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Pasay, and Pateros.
