Manila, Dec. 10 -- National and local government officials on Wednesday visited the Tartar Creek in Las Pinas City to assess the results of the cleanup drive of the waterway as part of the "Bayanihan sa Estero" program.

The assessment was led by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chair Don Artes, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon, and Las Pinas City Mayor April Aguilar at the Tartar Creek in Barangay Pampalona Tres and Barangay Talon Dos in Las Pinas.

During the assessment, Artes said these cleanup efforts are in response to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s socioeconomic agency to reduce obstructions and improve flow in waterways and mitigate flooding in Metro Manila.
