Manila, March 24 -- The provincial government of Misamis Oriental inaugurated a PHP60-million dormitory for public school students in Gingoog City on Monday.

The four-story facility in Barangay 26, funded through the 1st District Congressional Office and implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways, can house 300 students.

"This project shows our province's progress through collaboration between the district office and local government," Mayor Erick Canosa said during the flag ceremony.

Originally inaugurated on March 20, the dormitory held a soft opening Monday coinciding with Governor Peter Unabia's State of the Province Address and visit to Gingoog City.
