Manila, June 9 -- The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA)-Cordillera honored overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families during the regional Migrants' Day celebration on Monday, recognizing their sacrifices and vital contributions to the country's economy.
"This celebration is dedicated to our OFWs and their families, who endure the emotional burden of separation to give their loved ones a better life. We want to bridge the distance created by working abroad," OWWA-Cordillera Administrative Region Regional Director Martel Dasayon said at the event held at the Baguio Convention Center.
