Manila, April 23 -- Mercury Drug Foundation, Inc. (MDFI) on Tuesday donated PHP20-million worth of medicines and medical supplies to hospitals and treatment facilities of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
This was done through a deed of donation signed by AFP Chief-of-Staff, Gen. Benjamin Madrigal Jr., and MDFI Board of Trustees member, Jess Mangrobang, in a short ceremony at the AFP General Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
"We are very thankful to the Mercury Drug Foundation, Inc. for their generosity and for recognizing the services and sacrifices of our soldiers," Madrigal said, noting also the scholarship support given to dependents of AFP casualties.
